Inji Iduppazhagi is all about the struggles which an over-weight girl undergoes just to impress the man she loves. Anushka is doted by her mother Urvashi and is in the lookout for a well-settled groom. Initially when Arya is approached, he refuses to marry her and they both part amicably.
Later on, Anushka spots Arya at various instances and they both become friends gradually. Anushka becomes impressed with Arya and tries to become fit in order to propose to him as a suitable bride. Amidst this, Anushka comes to know that Arya has a love interest as well so what happens to her love and how she succeeds is the rest of the story.
The movie is all about the female lead and Anushka has done immense justice to the role. Kudos to her for gaining weight and losing it simultaneously. Arya looks handsome and his screen presence with Anushka is commendable. Prakash Raj who comes across as a businessman has proved his acting as usual and Urvashi also fits the bill as a doting mom.
Director Prakash Kovelamudi fails to impress the audience even with an amazing cast. The screenplay could have been much better and lip sync leaves a lot to be desired. The hype created before release does not live up to the expectations.
Keeravani’s music is average and none of the songs stand out much. Nirav Shah has done wonders with his camera and his work is a definite plus in the movie.
