‘Vasuvum Saravananum Onna Padichavanga’ marks the comeback of the success trio Director Rajesh, Arya and Santhanam after ‘Boss Engira Baskaran’.

The film is an out and out commercial entertainer and features stars like Tamannaah, ‘Thamirabharani’ Banu, Vidhyullekha and Karunakaran in key roles.

The film revolves around the friendship of Arya and Santhanam who are close buddies from childhood.

Santhanam gets married to Banu. Arya ends up annoying Banu by teasing her and Santhanam right from their first meeting. At one point of time, Banu becomes intolerant and compels Santhanam to get rid of his friendship with Arya. Santhanam feels embarrassed and thinks that Arya might move on if he gets married.

Santhanam starts searching a suitable girl for Arya and the hero eventually falls in love with Tamannaah. Tamannaah rejects Arya’s proposal and the Arya- Santhanam duo tries to convince her to accept his love.

Even after so many attempts, Tamannaah affronts Arya’s love and this causes hatred between the two.

The rest of the screenplay showcases the plight of Arya-Santhanam friendship and the consequences faced by the duo due to their partners Banu and Tamannaah.

As mentioned above, the rom- com film is a complete entertainer and has lots of similarities with previous movies of director Rajesh.

Arya has excelled in his fun- loving youngster’s role and makes a mark with his flawless dialogue delivery and body language.

Santhanam has an equally important role like Arya and has effortlessly repeated his usual teasing tantrums. Santhanam’s role is clichéd and it is time for the star to experiment something new.

Tamannaah and Banu have done justice to their roles. Tamannaah needs more practice and training to make a mark in a full-fledged comedy flick.

Vidhyullekha Raman has made her presence felt with her cute and funny expressions and has done her portions very well. Karunakaran has a small role and the talented actor has done it with ease.

Vishal surprises the audience with the cameo and the manly actor steals the show with his interesting role.

‘VSOP’ has a strong technical crew. D Imman scores with his stunning songs and BGM. Nirav Shah’s cinematography adds more colour and fun to the movie.

Director Rajesh who is well – known for making humorous entertainers has once again proved his mettle and ‘VSOP’ has turned out to be fun-filled movie for the entire family.
