Vairamuthu gets honoured again

'Kallikkattu Ithikasam', a popular novel written by the renowned poet/ lyricist Vairamuthu is going to be translated into 23 languages by the Sahithya Academy of India.

This comes as a feather to the cap of the legendary writer who has won loads of awards and honours.

It is well known that 'Kallikattu Ithihasam', is a novel which narrates the plight of the people living in 14 villages evacuated for the construction of Vaigai dam.

The best – selling novel won the Sahithya Academy award for the best literary work in the year 2003. Now,  to add more credit to this work,  Sahithya Academy has decided to translate this novel in many languages including English and Nepali.
