Kamal Haasan to organize a film work-shop

Legendary actor Kamal Haasan has announced that a 3 day film work shop will be organized in association with the All India Film Employees Confederation (AIFEC), for over 10,000 people working in the industry.

The workshop is expected to be held in November and the venue of the work shop which will benefit more than 10,000 people working in the industry is yet to be finalized.

According to an official statement, G. Shiva, president of AIFEC in collaboration with Actor/filmmaker Kamal Haasan , chairman of Media and Entertainment Skills Council (MESC), will bring together 35 film unions under one roof via the workshop. This workshop will help in conducting Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for people employed in the film industry. This initiative will involve training which would be conducted by national and international film dignitaries, technicians and specialists in 16 job roles.

It is to be noted that film union has unanimously announced a three-day work holiday for this skill development agenda during the second week of November.
