While talking about the film, Thalaivar said “To be frank, it is really not easy to work with Director Shankar. He is the name of perfection. I enjoyed working in 2.0 and I love the story, subject of the movie. This is most prestigious project in whole Indian cinema. Think so I’m not a hero in this subject, but Akshay Kumar is.”He also said “If given a chance, I would have played Akshay’s character. He is the real hero of the film”.
Actor Akshay Kumar will be playing the role of a scientist “Richard”, who actually turns into a crow man after getting wrong with an experiment. This is the first time Akshay Kumar is playing antagonist role and Rajinikanth said that he was tempted to play the role which Akshay played.
Coming to the movie, 2.0 is made with a mega budget of Rs. 350 crore and Superstar Rajinikanth is very much confident that the movie will match the Hollywood standards. The film is shot in 3D and is scheduled for Diwali 2017.
