D.Imman’s latest album for Vikram Prabhu - Shamili starrer Veera Sivaji has a lot of interesting elements such as a song by Simbu, one by Bombay Jayashree and interestingly a song by Vaikom Vijayalakshmi in Arunraja Kamaraj’s lyrics. Find out how the album has turned out:

Thaarumaaru Thakkalisoru

Singers: Simbu, Deepak, Maria Roe Vincent
Lyrics: Rokesh

STR crooning for Rokesh’s raving lyrics is a highlight in the album. Seemingly aimed at becoming a social media storm, the song has a peppy horse-hoof beat that has the potential to easily make it to the bathroom singer’s playlist. There is another version of this song sung by Deepak and we wonder which of these will feature in the film.

Adada Adada

Singers: Sriram Parthasarathy & Shreya Ghoshal
Lyrics: Yugabharathi

Strings, Santoor and Shreya Ghoshal along with Sriram Parthasarathy and soothing smooth progressive beats easily makes this the better song in the album for the radio junkie. Has an impressive orchestration which should work magic in theaters

Soppanasundari

Singers: Vaikom Vijayalaksmi
Lyrics: Arunraja Kamaraj

Vaikom Vijaylakshmi’s voice is a revelation through this song for being a great choice for an item number. You can feel her tone dancing to the tune of sitar and sarangi, rhyming with rhythm through the well-written words of Arunraja Kamaraj. Even then, we feel the song fails to register even after ample listens.

Thavazhnthidum Thangapoove

Singers: Bombay Jayashri
Lyrics:Aravi

Awesome lyrics with an applauding composition and the alluring voice of Bombay Jayashree. What more do you need in a song? Thavazhnthidum Thangapoove will easily crawl into the playlist of the mature at heart.

One Man show

Imman has done well to make Veera Sivaji’s theme and give the film it’s unique identity through an aptly titled track.

Verdict: Veera Sivaji is a typical Imman treat
