In Telugu, the remake rights have been acquired by producer DVV Danayya and popular lead Ram Charan Teja, son of Megastar Chiranjeevi, has been roped in to do the lead. The production works are said to be under way and there was a speculation that the beautiful Samantha might do the female lead role.
Though the actress was eager to do this project, she had to opt out from this due to her hectic call sheet. Samantha is currently playing in Surya's '24', Nithin's 'A...Aa', Mahesh Babu's 'Brahmotsavam' and the upcoming 'Vada Chennai' with Dhanush.
