This movie starts in the backdrop of Madurai. Actor Vishal plays as a sincere under cop police officer named Jayaseelan. The story is about police officers and how they respects their job. It revolves around how the entire law and force comes together to support one of their colleagues.
Vishal falls in love with Sowmya (Played by Kajal Agarwal) who owns a plant nursery. She has fear phobia as she always afraid for small things. How their relationship grows up? What happens to Vishal’s colleague? How they help him? Forms the rest of the story.
Actor Vishal as a police officer stole the hearts of the audiences. He looks handsome and he has improved a lot with his acting capabilities. He suits his role well and his chemistry with Kajal Agarwal looks refreshing.
Kajal Agarwal looks gorgeous but she disappeared in the second half. Harish Uthaman is the highlight of this movie during the last half an hour of the movie. Vishal’s character elevates the movie to a decent level and brings a lot of entertainment value.

Paayum Puli is high on technical values. Camera work is brilliant and the way director conceptualized the entire movie looks good. Dialogues are apt and suit the nature of this movie. Director did a good job and he raised the tempo during the climax, which is quite important for any film.
