In Kerala, 'I' is reportedly the highest ever non-Malayalam grosser with a reported gross of close to 17 crores till date. The film grossed more than 10 crores in its first 5 days itself, and went on to consolidate its business very well. The Kerala distributors Global United Media Company Private Limited must have made quite a killing indeed.
The next big Tamil release is Yennai Arindhaal and we have to see how it performs in the state.
